Freelance events in Toronto next week

Next Wednesday night’s going to be a hot night for Toronto freelancers, with two events scheduled that promise valuable information and a chance to meet and talk with with like-minded freelance types.

Taking the Free out of Freelancing is a panel discussion at Ryerson University on how to become a successful freelancer. Speakers include Bert Archer, Suzanne Bowness and Keith Maskell. The panel discussion on pitching, budgeting, and negotiating will be followed by snacks and drinks at the Ram and Rye.

The Canadian Sound and Story Workshop, a group for radio freelancers, is also holding an introductory radio storytelling workshop at the CSI Annex on Wednesday night. You can preregister here for a presentation on radio storytelling techniques led by Sean Rasmussen and J.P. Davidson. There are only a couple of spots left, so register soon.

Both events are free to attend. Decisions, decisions…
