The Canadian Media Guild is a national union representing 6,000 media workers across Canada, including hundreds of freelancers. CMG’s freelance branch (CMG Freelance) was formed to advance the interests of self-employed media workers who provide content to Canadian media organizations. CMG’s parent union is CWA/SCA Canada.
CMG Freelance advocates for all freelancers in issues such as rates, copyright, and digital and re-use rights.
